We are looking for a newly qualified ACA/ACCA to join our fast-growing software company as a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond traditional reporting and take on a pivotal role in shaping the finance function in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, and supporting decision-making across the business. You’ll gain exposure to SaaS metrics, subscription revenue models, and cross-functional projects with revenue operations, marketing and engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and board packs with insightful analysis.
- Oversee statutory reporting, liaising with auditors to ensure timely and clean audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant reporting standards.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to support a scaling software business.
- Support annual budgets and rolling forecasts with scenario modelling.
- Provide variance analysis and actionable insights for senior management.
- Build financial models to support growth, new product launches, and international expansion.
- Monitor cashflow, working capital, and SaaS revenue recognition (IFRS15).
- Partner with commercial teams on pricing strategies, customer contracts, and renewal cycles.
- Support the Controller in managing investor relations and potential funding rounds.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and operations to align financial performance with strategy.
- Provide insights into SaaS KPI such as ARR, MRR, churn, and customer acquisition costs.
- Present clear, actionable recommendations to leadership teams.
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial processes through digital tools.
- Contribute to strengthening governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- ACA or ACCA: Newly Qualified to 2 years PQE
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS).
- Advanced Excel
- High attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a scaling environment.
- Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders across the business.
- Experience with SaaS/recurring revenue models and IFRS15.
- SQL/VBA/Python
