This is a new, strategic, player-manager role establishing dedicated, expert leadership for our UK and Ireland public sector vertical for the first time. As the company’s most significant reference market globally, large-scale UK government deployments provide the sovereign credentials, data handling credibility, and institutional relationships that underpin our competitive positioning across multiple geographies. By managing both pre-sales and post-sales activities as a single unified function, this role creates a single point of accountability spanning the full customer lifecycle—from early technical engagement and proof of concept to value realisation and expansion. This unified structure is essential for maintaining the deep, continuous relationships our public sector accounts require and provides a clear escalation point for the most sensitive customer relationships in our portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Ownership: Own Net New ARR targets for new UK&I public sector pursuits and NRR targets for existing UK&I public sector accounts, driving growth and expansion across our portfolio.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team of Solution Engineering and Technology Account Partner (TAP) professionals, establishing a domain-focused culture grounded in the public sector lifecycle.
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Direct executive sponsorship and senior relationship management with key public sector stakeholders—such as Programme Directors, CDOs, and CTOs—across central government, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
  • Unified Lifecycle Management: Oversee the critical post-sales handover process to ensure seamless continuity, and manage the technical delivery quality of demonstrations, proofs of concept, and value reports.
  • Domain & Playbook Contribution: Act as the internal domain authority on UK government technology procurement and data governance frameworks, contributing reusable methodologies to our Global Pursuits playbook.

Qualifications

  • Proven Technical Leadership: Experience managing or leading pre-sales or post-sales technical teams, with a track record of coaching talent and driving commercial objectives.
  • Public Sector Expertise: Substantive experience in UK government technology (either on the vendor side or within a public sector organisation), with deep familiarity with frameworks like G-Cloud and Crown Commercial Service.
  • Lifecycle Mastery: A strong understanding of both the enterprise pre-sales motion and post-sales expansion models, particularly at the handover boundary between sales and customer success.
  • Technical Credibility: Enough technical depth to engage confidently with government CTOs and CDOs on data integration, platform architecture, and secure deployment models.
  • A 'Player-Manager' Mindset: The agility to command senior executive meetings while remaining hands-on to support your team through complex evaluations.
