Quantec, one of the UK's leading electrical compliance and fixed wire testing companies, are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor / Technical Estimator to join our growing team based at our offices in Chatham, Kent. This is a varied and hands-on role combining technical supervision, remedial estimating, engineer support and occasional site-based works. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting our nationwide electrical testing operations and maintaining the high technical standards Quantec are known for.
The position is predominantly office based (approximately 80%), with the remaining time spent carrying out engineer audits, site inspections and occasional on-site electrical works where required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Technical checking and review of completed EICRs and electrical reports
- Producing remedial quotations following completed electrical installation condition reports
- Supervising and supporting field-based engineers
- Carrying out quality audits and technical inspections
- Providing technical guidance to the engineering team
- Assisting with occasional site works and client support where required
- Helping maintain Quantec's high standards of electrical compliance and reporting quality
Requirements
- Be a fully qualified electrical engineer
- Have strong experience within commercial electrical installations
- Have solid experience completing and/or reviewing EICRs
- Be confident interpreting BS 7671 and electrical compliance requirements
- Have good communication and organisational skills
- Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a technical team
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Ideally, applicants will also:
- Be an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (or capable of fulfilling the role)
- Have previous supervisory or technical compliance experience
- Be confident liaising with engineers, clients and internal management teams
