Quantec, one of the UK's leading electrical compliance and fixed wire testing companies, are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Remedial Works Engineer to join our growing remedial division covering Kent and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a reliable and motivated engineer with strong experience in commercial electrical installations and remedial works following EICRs.

This role offers flexibility, with opportunities available on either an employed basis with company vehicle provided, or on a contract/self-employed basis with rates of up to £270 per day depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role

The successful applicant will be carrying out a wide variety of electrical remedial works across commercial and industrial properties including:

  • Consumer unit and distribution board replacements
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Emergency lighting remedials
  • Upgrades to earthing and bonding
  • Containment and wiring alterations
  • Replacing accessories and damaged equipment
  • General electrical compliance works following EICRs
  • Occasional small installation works

Works will typically be generated from Quantec's nationwide electrical testing operations, meaning a steady flow of remedial works and ongoing projects.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a fully qualified electrician
  • Have experience within commercial electrical installations
  • Be confident carrying out remedial works independently
  • Have good fault-finding abilities
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be professional and client-facing on site

Ideal but not essential:

  • Experience with EICRs
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
  • ECS / JIB Gold Card
