Front Office Application Support Analyst
Location: London, UK
Working Model: Hybrid working – travel to office is required up to 3 – 4 days a week
Role Overview:
We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for trading and risk applications in a commodities/APS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, a solid understanding of relational databases, and experience with front-to-back trading processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 support for critical trading and risk applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SQL database issues, ensuring optimal performance.
- Analyze and resolve connectivity and network-related issues, leveraging knowledge of the OSI model.
- Work closely with traders, developers, and operations teams to support end-to-end trading workflows.
- Identify and escalate complex issues to development or infrastructure teams when needed.
Key Requirements:
- Strong SQL skills and intermediate-level relational database experience.
- Understanding of the OSI model and networking fundamentals.
- Experience in Commodities trading or APS systems.
- Knowledge of front-to-back trading processes, including order management, risk, and settlements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application support environments.
