We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Business Development Representative to help drive pipeline growth for a fast-growing tech business operating in the insurance / insurtech space. This is not a “first BDR role” — we’re looking for someone who already knows what great outbound looks like and is ready to operate with ownership, confidence, and pace.

If you’ve spent 2+ years in a BDR/SDR role within SaaS, insurtech, or a startup/scale-up environment, and enjoy building pipeline through smart, targeted outbound, this role offers autonomy, clear progression, and meaningful impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning outbound prospecting across a defined set of accounts
  • Building top-of-funnel pipeline through calls, email, LinkedIn, and personalised outreach
  • Qualifying inbound leads and booking high-quality meetings for Account Executives
  • Researching target organisations and tailoring messaging to senior decision-makers
  • Confidently cold calling and handling objections
  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging and targeting
  • Consistently hitting (and exceeding) activity and pipeline targets

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a BDR/SDR in SaaS, insurtech, or a high-growth startup
  • Proven outbound experience and comfort picking up the phone
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of sales cycles
  • Confident, articulate communicator with a consultative approach
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Someone who wants progression but is happy to master the craft of outbound first

What you’ll get:

  • Clear progression into a closing role as the business scales
  • Ongoing coaching and structured development
  • A collaborative, performance-driven sales culture
  • Competitive base salary plus commission (£15k OTE)
  • Fully remote working and flexibility
  • The opportunity to be part of a growing tech company with real momentum

How to prepare for a job interview at Quanta

Know Your Stuff

Before the interview, make sure you thoroughly understand the insurtech space and the specific challenges it faces. Research the company’s products and services, and be ready to discuss how your experience aligns with their needs. This shows that you’re not just interested in any job, but specifically in this role.

Showcase Your Outbound Skills

Since this role is all about outbound prospecting, prepare to share specific examples of your past successes. Talk about your strategies for building pipeline and how you’ve tailored your outreach to different audiences. Be ready to discuss metrics that demonstrate your impact, like conversion rates or meetings booked.

Practice Cold Calling

Given the emphasis on cold calling, it’s a good idea to practice this skill before your interview. You might even want to role-play with a friend or colleague. Prepare for common objections and think about how you would handle them confidently. This will help you feel more at ease during the interview.

Ask Insightful Questions

Prepare thoughtful questions to ask your interviewers. This could include inquiries about the sales process, team dynamics, or how success is measured in the role. Asking insightful questions not only shows your interest but also helps you gauge if the company is the right fit for you.
