Our client, a leading partner to pharmaceutical, biotech, and nutrition markets, has an exciting opening for an R&D Technologist for their new Capex investment project. As a scientific and technology innovator, this is a superb opportunity to join a team committed to making strides towards a healthier world for all.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on laboratory work, primarily generating new plasmids for expressing complex biological molecules.
- Perform DNA sequencing processing and assessment.
- Culture mammalian cell lines in flasks and small-scale bioreactors; perform analytical procedures such as high-throughput protein quantification, and prepare media and feeds from basal components.
- Write high-quality reports and present findings to the R&D team.
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks to a high standard and contribute to routine maintenance of laboratory space and equipment.
- Be confident with computers and willing to learn automation techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education - Required: BSc or MSc in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry.
- Work Experience: Entry Level: Focus on molecular biology and mammalian cell culture. Basic working knowledge of core molecular biology techniques is required. Practical experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture techniques is preferable.
