Director of Research and Development – Quanta Dialysis Technologies – Warwick, UK – Hybrid Working
Quanta Dialysis Technologies is on a mission to make dialysis accessible to every patient in every setting with its innovative QDS system. As R&D Director you’ll lead product development for our ground‑breaking dialysis platform, driving reliability, cost optimisation and feature innovation while growing a high‑performing technical team and ensuring delivery of our engineering roadmap in line with business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a high‑performing technical engineering team to deliver the platform roadmap.
- Own design control, technical execution and team delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, robust and manufacturable designs.
- Build engineering processes, tools, documentation and governance (e.g. D‑FMEA, CAD, ECO, V&V traceability).
- Drive cross‑functional leadership and people development, hiring, training and mentoring.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience at director level in a medical device product development environment.
- Track record of delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary products involving software, electronics, mechanical systems and fluidics with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience owning design control, technical execution and team delivery.
- Strong focus on people development, hiring, training and cross‑functional leadership.
- Experience in dialysis or renal care devices, start‑up/scale‑up environments and global regulatory knowledge (e.g. FDA, MDR) is a bonus.
