Quality Engineer - UK, Chester - Initial 6-18 Month Contract - Life Sciences

Our client is a global medical products and technologies company focused on solutions for the management of chronic conditions, with leading market positions in advanced wound care, ostomy care, continence care and infusion care.

Their products provide a range of clinical and economic benefits including infection prevention, protection of at-risk skin, improved patient outcomes and reduced total cost of care.

What you’ll deliver

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and quality engineering tools to enhance product quality, process performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyse quality metrics and trend data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving activities, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), to reduce defects and improve process capability.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk reduction, cost reduction, and process optimisation projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

What you’ll need

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within the medical device industry but not essential.
  • Understand medical device regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge and experience of CAPA and NC.
  • Basic Understanding of e QMS systems or similar.
