The Ruby Developer will be working within an Agile (ish looking to be better) team to design and deliver high quality bleeding edge applications.The Ruby Developer will also be responsible for:Designing and developing new applications working in collaboration with existing team membersPlay a major part in architecting the platformSome technology strategyTo design and help implement a REST apiHelp build a brand new web platform in RubySome Code reviewsThe stack is Ruby on Linux AWS with some Angular.JS and Node.JS in parts.Ruby Developers must have:Educated to degree level or equivalent5 years commercial development experience ideally purely in RubyExperience designing and building Rails applicationsRubyJavascriptWorking knowledge of LinuxUnderstanding of Applications on AWSExperience with mobile applications would be beneficialCurrently Hadoop is used but not requiredThe environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.
