Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a $500 million strong systematic quant commodity trading fund with excellent recent performance.
The role will involve all aspects of support from desktop to cloud in a trading environment, reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Development. The role needs strong communication skills as this will involve work with the trading business.
The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring seamless operation while setting up a scalable IT platform
- Ensuring exceptional front-line user support, with a particular focus on the trading desk
- Responsibility for incident management
- Coordinating business continuity planning and testing
Infrastructure Engineers MUST have:
- An BSc in computing or mathematics or a STEM subject
- Experience supporting a trading desk
- Windows
- Some basic Linux
- Experience managing highly available infrastructure including infrastructure-as-code
- Experience managing and prioritising multiple deliverables in a real-time environment
- The ability to communicate precisely and efficiently with senior and executive stakeholders
- Experience selecting and managing external partners
