Application Support Engineer – Client facing Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Trading Application Engineerto join our high profile client.
Our client is and independent research business and a well-known Algo Order Management and Execution Business.
They operate as an independent strategic partner to investment businesses by offering insight and guidance through their powerful network of intellectual capital.
The role works with senior traders at some of the most well known prop business globally.
This role requires daily coordination and liaising with various internal teams, traders and end clients across both the sell and buy side.
Ownership, maintenance and support of all trading system components (including order managers, FIX/API connectivity, market data distribution, exchange links, messaging middleware etc.).
Identification and mitigation of risks to service delivery and proactive resolution of issues before they impact service levels.
Incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and follow up.
Coordination of all relevant parties during client facing outages.
Timely escalation of complex issues or problems.
Resiliency testing.
Regular and systematic testing of application redundancy and failover.
Real-time system monitoring using a diverse set of industry standard and proprietary tools.
Capacity planning and assessment.
Application maintenance, including change and release management (planned and emergency application deployment, configuration and patching).
Definition, management, and leadership of projects to improve operational efficiency, system monitoring and automation of manual tasks.
Definition and maintenance of operational run books and other documentation.
As a FIX Specialist you MUST have:2 years front office application Support Client facing experience Linux UNIXScripting in Bash and Shell SQLIdeally FIX or FS experience Understanding of financial markets There is massive scope to move teams within this organisation it is common for people to move form back to front office, or from tech to sales and vice versa.
