Senior Network Engineer – GPU Infrastructure / Quantitative Trading Industry leading compensation discussed on call London Quant Capital is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading quantitative trading firm in London.
The role sits within a specialist infrastructure team supporting trading systems and a large GPU compute environment used for deep learning and research.
The network is a core part of the firm’s research and trading capability.
It needs to be fast, reliable and built properly.
This role will suit someone who has worked on demanding production networks and wants to move into a more performance-focused environment.
You’ll work on the design, rollout and support of network infrastructure across trading, research and GPU cluster environments.
The role has a strong focus on automation, monitoring, Linux-based troubleshooting and high-bandwidth data movement.
What you’ll be doing• Supporting and improving mission-critical network infrastructure• Working on high-bandwidth networking for GPU and compute clusters• Helping design scalable networks for deep learning and research workloads• Troubleshooting network issues across Linux-based systems• Building automation around deployment, monitoring and operational tasks• Working with systems, research and infrastructure teams• Supporting the next phase of network architecture and tooling What you’ll need• Strong experience deploying and supporting production networks• Good understanding of data centre networking• Experience with BGP, OSPF and multicast• Strong Linux or Unix command line skills• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, Go or similar• Good troubleshooting skills across network and host-level issues• Clear communication and strong ownership Useful experience• GPU cluster, HPC or research infrastructure networking• Infini Band, Ro CE, RDMA or high-performance Ethernet• Network monitoring, telemetry or performance analysis• Low-latency, trading or colocation environments This role suits a network engineer who wants to work on serious infrastructure in a high-performance trading environment.
