Quant Capital is looking for a skilled engineer to join a small, global team supporting a new trading business. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining highly available infrastructure that powers trading desks and internal teams across the globe. Strong communication skills are essential in this close-knit, collaborative environment.
What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of mission-critical Linux systems from day one.
- Design, operate, and improve highly available, high-performance infrastructure.
- Enable traders and developers to run their applications at the bleeding edge.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex systems using command-line tools.
- Automate tasks and improve processes through scripting and configuration management.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive Linux engineering experience in a high-availability environment (RedHat/Debian-based or similar).
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems and high-performance applications.
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, or another high-level language).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack).
- Highly skilled at debugging and troubleshooting using command-line tools (e.g., ss, iostat, dig, ethtool).
