Ruby Developer – Full Stack, Rails Javascript, TDD Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Ruby Developer to join our high profile client.
Our client is in this year’s fintech50 they are a disruptive force in the global investment and payments space.
The office is casual with a compete tech focus (quiet coding area, loud games room).
The position is for a senior Ruby Developer to build a new Rails application communicating with a Java API.
The current team has 5 bleeding edge ruby and frontend developers who need some help to keep them from evangelising the world off.
The Ruby Developer will be working within an Agile (ish looking to be better) team to design and deliver high quality bleeding edge applications.
The Ruby Developer will also be responsible for: Designing and developing new applications working in collaboration with existing team members Play a major part in architecting the platform Some technology strategy To design and help implement a REST api Help build a brand new web platform in Ruby Some Code reviews The stack is Ruby on Linux AWS with some Angular.

Ruby Developers must have: Educated to degree level or equivalent5 years commercial development experience ideally purely in Ruby Experience designing and building Rails applications Ruby Javascript Working knowledge of Linux Understanding of Applications on AWSExperience with mobile applications would be beneficial Currently Hadoop is used but not required The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.
