Our client is a $10 billion strong Hedge fund with performance figures of 18%. You will be joining a cutting-edge technology for a top quantitative Investment Manager. Success is founded on the application of the scientific method in investment analysis, algorithmic model generation and portfolio construction coupled with an innovative and entrepreneurial culture.

I am looking for a chartered ACA Qualified Accountant team in Cyprus to work on a variety of established business areas and their development projects. The individual should have commercial experience, negotiation skills, purchasing skills, management skills, powerful systems skills, a commercial proven track record, marketing and brand awareness, understanding of legal principles surrounding contracts and agreements, attention to detail, and be a perceptive and effective communicator. Travel may be required between locations and/or client offices in Europe.

ACA Accountants will:

  • Work closely with the clients' senior management and finance executives in delivering the objectives, budget and timetable for all corporate accounting, financial reporting, tax and regulatory/compliance functions.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, annual financial statements for international companies, budgets, forecasts and cash flows for the company and its clients as required.
  • Produce consolidated accounts and participate in the reconciliation of consolidated accounts.
  • Participate in the review and negotiation of agreements, with a commercial background and general legal company objectives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annually or ad hoc reporting requirements (including TAX, VAT returns, etc.) for the company and its clients and liaise with authorities as required.
  • Participate in the Document Management system and Accounting system, specification, implementation, integration and migration with a multi-function team already in process.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the clients' external auditors, as well as the internal audit and risk management functions to conduct reviews and prepare reports.
  • Assist in the management of a portfolio of projects, including but not limited to asset purchasing and disposals, property agreements, accounting, audit, communication with clients and suppliers, liaising with authorities and service providers.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient cooperation with other departments such as HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Admin, and maintain continuous oversight to ensure that the financial function exercises control across all different departments.
  • Conduct Due Diligence with clients and on service providers.

ACA Accountants MUST have:

  • A First Class bachelor degree from a top University and ACA Qualified Accountant, with at least 2 years post qualification experience in a similarly demanding role.
  • Experience of Audit and general accounting.
  • A practical approach to solving complex problems, experience of handling large datasets (preferably real world data) and the ability to communicate ideas/results clearly to colleagues.
