My client is a very well know quantitative trading firm and marketmaker. This team has some of the best minds in Windows and Powershell Engineering. My client has a mixed Windows and Linux environment spread across physical and virtual machines. This position suits a talented Windows Engineer with an appetite to find the best way to solve a problem and a strong level of Powershell programming and automation focus. As an Engineer you will focus on platform engineering designs, maintaining the firm's operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, and messaging as well as endpoints on Windows and Linux in both our internal- and external-facing environments. You will will be tasked with the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems, on Windows-based systemsThe ideal Windows Engineer will have: A STEM degreeSignificant Windows systems automation experience is required. Powershell (ideally some c# exposure)An in-depth understanding of the Windows platform and related technologies (e.g., Experience with common Windows Server applications and management tools (e.g., Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, and ADFS, etc.) A working knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and information security concepts isExperience integrating systems across on-premises and cloud-based environmentsExperience working with containers on Windows and Linux is preferred.
