Network Security Specialist – Quantitative Trading4 days in office Quant Capital is urgently looking for an experienced Network Security Specialist to join one of the most prestigious trading companies globally.
This role sits in an experienced London team but with global collaboration.
The work is interesting but intense however there will be no long hours in this well-resourced and efficient team.
As a Network Security Specialist, you will help maintain the highest level of service and ensure the business’s network security is ahead of the business requirements, whilst also pushing standardisation through automation.
My client has built numerous distributed systems on an agile, reliable, multi-vendor network infrastructure, this supports all traffic profiles from trading to internet connectivity.
Enabling those systems to operate in a secure and auditable manner is a key mission of the Network Security team Key responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Network Engineering team on DMZ designs and deployments Troubleshooting network issues by deep diving into packet captures and reviewing audit logs.
Assist the team with support tasks and help improve the teams ability to monitor systems effectively through scripting and or collaborating with Developers for more complex dtasks.
Working closely with Cyber Security to mitigate threats and stay on top of vulnerabilities.
Ensuring firewall policies are up to date against security standards and business requirements Key requirements: Extensive experience deploying and maintaining mission-critical networks Hands-on experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting Excellent knowledge and understanding of network security principles and technologies (TCP, ARP, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS)An intuition for automating workflows Experience in DMZ network design Good programming skills Clear and effective communicator Understanding of computer science principles and passion for technology.
