Network Engineer – Trading Networks90,000 + 30%Quant Capital is urgently looking Network Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is one of the world's top Trading Technology Business.

They trade across a wide range of asset classes globally.

They cover the global markets by leveraging and integrating technology, risk management and quantitative research.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design, deployment, and escalated problem resolution, for a large service provider network infrastructure.

You'll work with internal/external clients, operations/systems, financial exchanges, and other Network Engineers to design, automate, research and develop, investigate and solve system issues, and participate in business.

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for: Provide technical expertise within the network operations team, acting as an escalation point for complex issues and queries.

Act as the lead Operations resource for internal projects and initiatives.

Assist in the development of standards and processes for the global Network Operations team and drive their adoption throughout the global teams.

Participate in the design review process, providing critique to highlight risks and unnecessary design complexities, and to ensure operational standards are adhered to.

Work with other technology teams within the business to develop solutions to resolve operational risks and issues.

Network Engineers should have: CCIE or JNCIE certified or equivalent level of knowledge Strong understanding of general network routing and switching protocols and theory.

Solid understanding of IP Multicast with experience supporting market data feeds in a trading environment.

Detailed understanding of TCP/IP protocol theory and operation, with the ability to diagnose connectivity and performance issues from raw pcap data.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose the root cause of networking issues within complex network environments.

Experience working with Network Management Systems utilising SNMP and Syslog.
