Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Network Engineer to join our high profile client. Our client is an established fintech on a mission to disrupt the foreign exchange market, applying innovation to tap FX liquidity. The environment is relaxed and open, providing time to think and make the right decisions. This is a role for techies, motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something they are passionate about.

The Infrastructure group is responsible for managing and engineering the company's global solutions for networks, firewalls, servers and storage. The client trades across Equities, Fixed Income, and FX.

On a day-to-day basis, the Network Engineer will:

  • Support all on-premise data centres and networks.
  • Ensure the availability, security, automation, and continued operations of the network.
  • Work with Arista, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper and A10 network devices.
  • Assist in building new high-performing, highly resilient, low-latency networks in multiple regions.
  • Ensure efficient deployment and standard configuration management through automation.
  • Troubleshoot issues and handle incident escalations (occasionally out-of-hours) while promoting production change management processes and procedures.

Network Engineers MUST have:

  • Some experience in a multitude of technologies: low latency Arista switches, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco routing and switching products, Juniper SRX, A10 Load Balancers, Cisco ASA Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer or Corvil.
  • Basic experience in coding and network automation, ideally using Python, Ansible and Jinja2 but others are welcome.

They offer an excellent working environment with ongoing training and a structured career path. You can also expect an excellent salary and benefits package. My client is based in London, 3 days a week in the office.
