Junior Quant Application Support Engineer Fintech SQL45k Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Junior Quant Application Support Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is the world’s leading market portfolio risk analytics software businesses.

The primary purpose of the Application Support Engineer is to provide technical support of implementations across the fund market.

This role moves into a junior Quant position within a year.

To succeed in the role, you will be expected to build an in-depth knowledge of the wealth management industry and our solution, be a strong communicator and a self-starter focused on, ensuring the quality of support provided to clients is of high standards.

This role will focus on the core responsibilities of an application support analyst with the opportunity to work closely with client stakeholders to build on relationships with key client personnel as well involve working closely with all areas and levels of the business.

This will include working with the operations team, client service team and development team as a key participant in regular service updates.

Day to Day you will: Taking initial ownership of incidents, requests, and problems, ensuring all modes of client contact are responded to.

Ensuring that detailed updates on progress and activity is recorded daily against each request for service.

Investigate reported issues and document findings.

Analyze and understand existing functionalities of the product.

Be able to articulate technical issues in simple terms.

Escalating to issues to senior members of client services and development team as appropriate.

Proactively suggest improvements to client service processes.

Understand relevant industry segments and keep abreast of client’s business processes in relation product utilization.

Communicate regularly with management.

Application Support Engineers must have: 2:1 Degree in Comp Sci, IT or Maths Maths A Level3rd Line App Support Experience SQLThis role suits someone from a software consulting or application support background that is looking to take on serious responsibility.

You will also have to sign an NDA due to the close proximity you have to funds very important IP.

We are looking for consultants who want to take ownership of products and take considerable responsibility and the bonus that goes with that.
