Our client is a well known global High Frequency Trading firm. They value technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).You will participate in providing financial and operational support to the firm. As part of the IT and Development team you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of all IT systems supporting the business. end-user computing, networking, firewalling, cloud computing, software repo management and support of in-house developed software. You will be driving initiatives within the IT team to help improve reliability, performance, and automation across all areas of infrastructure. This role covers a very broad range of IT systems and technology that you might not see elsewhere, and requires you to have excellent time and task planning and be ready to dive into the detail if required. building and deploying new PCs, managing resource utilisation of IT systems, patching and maintaining Windows Server environment, patching and maintaining of Linux systems and ensuring regulatory compliance reporting is carried out. There is great emphasis throughout the business on using automation and all the AWS resources we have available to us to increase the efficiency of the IT offer. You will work closely with the rest of the IT team to achieve this.
