Infrastructure Lead – Fin Tech, Azure, Security Up to 80,000 + bonus and benefits Hybrid 2:3 in office Quant Capital is looking to speak to candidates to join a growing Fin Tech business based in South West London.

Our is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of core infrastructure and security engineering across a modern Microsoft/Azure environment.

This role suits someone who understands scale, cares about uptime, and thinks security-first.

Real responsibility from day one.

You’ll deliver projects across infrastructure, automation, and cloud security, while acting as a technical escalation point for internal teams.

You’ll work across Windows, networking, identity, cloud, and security — owning problems end to end.

  • What you’ll do
  • Lead the day-to-day management and support of IT infrastructure services.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
  • Supporting our primarily Microsoft-based infrastructure, ensuring its high availability, resilience, and performance.

Both hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Oversee server, storage, network, backup, cloud and virtualisation platforms.
  • Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Maintain infrastructure security standards, patching, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor, identify, investigate, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage endpoint protection, firewalls, SIEM, MFA, email security, and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain security standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Work with third-party security providers as required.
  • Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead and develop the small Infra team, strong leadership and people management skills.
  • What you’ll need
  • A high level of experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and Desktop, Active Directory, Entra, Hybrid domains, Group Policies, 365, Intune, Teams, Share Point, NTFS etc.
  • Networking – TCP/IP, VLANS, VPNs, Wi-Fi, DNS internal and Global DNS Providermanagement, good level of network hardware experience e. g.

Cisco/Fortinet Forti Gate.

  • Server Virtualisation – Nutanix, Hyper-V
  • Security – this role is highly focused on security with knowledge of the following System security hardening, vulnerability assessments and patch management.

Policy creation and roll out Security Best practices across all environments Security Compliance – GDPR, PCI, ISO27001 Working with external Pen Testers Antivirus Management – Oversight of incidents and roll out of new policies following bestpractices and adaptation to emerging threats.

Cyber Security Tools – Management across Endpoints, email, networks, Incident response Email Security Management Certificate Management – installation and renewal of SSL/TLS certificates on web servers, network devices etc.

  • Domain management – both internal and external Cloud WAF, DDo S Protection, CSP management
  • Human Firewall – Have oversight on tools such as Knowbe4 for Staff Training and securityawareness.
  • Work with the Training team to roll out new procedures and materialy
  • Ideally some understanding of MS SQL Database administration.
  • Azure Design, deploy, administer and monitor Azure infrastructure using
