This role sits close to the core infrastructure team and supports the physical technology estate behind a high-performance trading environment. The focus is hardware deployment, site operations, cabling, documentation and coordination across London and European facilities. This is a practical infrastructure role, not desktop support. You will be trusted to keep critical environments organised, reliable and ready for growth.
The role:
- Build, deploy and support server and network infrastructure across data centre and colocation sites
- Manage rack builds, cabling, patching and hardware installations
- Support site upgrades, equipment moves and infrastructure expansion work
- Keep asset records, diagrams and operational documentation accurate
- Work with internal engineering teams, facilities teams and external vendors
- Help maintain strong standards across space, power, cooling and physical layout
- Provide basic Windows and Linux support when needed
- Travel to regional sites when required
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years' experience in data centre, colocation or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on background with servers, cabling and physical infrastructure
- Good knowledge of data centre operations and hardware deployment
- Exposure to network equipment, storage or backup environments
- Basic Windows and Linux administration skills
- Strong documentation and organisation skills
- Confident working with vendors and technical teams
- Self-starter with a high level of ownership
- Comfortable with regular travel
- Valid driving licence
Useful experience:
- Trading, financial services or other critical infrastructure environments
- Cisco or similar network hardware
- SAN, DCIM, asset management or backup tools
- Power, cooling or environmental monitoring exposure
This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on infrastructure work and wants to operate in a serious technical environment where reliability and execution matter. All applications are handled in strict confidence.
