They value technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).The Mid Frequency Trading Team is a fully automated trading team, trading multiple products across global markets. The team’s framework facilitates live trading and historical backtesting and includes the data processing pipelines and research tools necessary for new alpha research. The codebase is predominantly in Python leveraging a number of industry standard libraries for data handling.The opportunity is to help research and build execution signals for our medium frequency alpha’s as well as contributing to new higher frequency alpha using native exchange data feeds.The collaborative team is made up of software engineers, quant developers and researchers. Ideas are shared openly and you will get the opportunity to contribute to areas beyond their immediate responsibilities.You will require solid technical skills, in python and Java, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. ResponsibilitiesDesigning, building and maintaining tick-level data pipelinesWork with Quantitative Researchers to productionize and refine execution modelsBuild post-trade analysis tooling to observe performance of trading signalsSupport and maintenance of the existing systems and infrastructureApplying modern devops paradigms to enhance operational capabilitiesContributing to the continuous refinement of the desk’s systemsQuant Developers should have:Experience in a Bank, Fund or Prop Shop in a successful trading team5+ years development experience in an execution focused role.Experience supporting researchers to develop new signalsExpert proficiency level in python & JavaExperience using pandas & numpyExperience with real time Linux systemsGood design skillsStrong understanding of data structuresThe environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.
