Our client is a well-known a global financial technology firm which specialises in the design and development of software in the Hedge Fund Space.
The business has earned an international reputation for successfully aiding clients in the construction of their portfolios and managing their risks.
You will grow in the space by working with some of the largest asset managers in the world and providing clients with innovative development which focuses on simplicity.
Day to day the Fund Accountant Product Lead will: Taking ownership of a Portfolio Management system to include calculations Applying (from first principles) in the context of portfolio management; concepts such as: Equalisation, Rollups, Side Pockets, Cash Reconciliation, Dividends, Currency Hedging, Gates, Return and Risk Attributions etc.
Reaching out and building connections with administrators, custodians, institutional trading platforms.
Operating as the subject matter expert during the onboarding of new clients for the Portfolio Management system.
Specifying what needs to be done and implemented.
As these calculations are quite tricky; the ability to write the calculations in Excel/VBA/C# (or any other language) would be ideal Pushing the tool to the next level by adding new portfolio management features which you have developed in previous role(s)The role requires the candidate to work independently, and is collaborative in nature.
The candidate should be adept at problem solving through innovation, making confident decisions under pressure with aggressive timeframes and have a proven track record on successfully overseeing a number of projects of differing scales.
Fund Accounting Leads must have: Bachelors in Finance or Economics or Similar Someone who has experience calculating multi asset class portfolios from first principles.
Minimum 6 years’ experience You program in Excel or VBA Pivot Tables etc Experience with the following asset classes: Hedge Fund, Long Only Funds, ETFs, Fixed Income & Equities is a must Experience with Private Equities will be advantageous.
