DevOps Engineer – FintechTo 75,000 + benefitsQuant Capital is urgently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our high profile client. Our client is a small fintech firm creating by one of the worlds best known personalities in fintech. They are known for solving one of the common problems in the retail financial space and in the current climate this is a unique product. Typically, the longer the consumer leaves the money with the merchant, the greater the reward – i.e. rewards have a time dimension like accruing interest, but functions as a discount, thus increasing the spending power of the consumer. Merchants can also increase consumer spending power by making additional discount coupons available to encourage spend at particular times and/or locations. Day to Day the DevOps Engineer will: Writing and maintaining cloud infrastructure scripts, buying into the infrastructure as code paradigmAssist in debugging and resolving production operational issuesEnsuring proper monitoring and log collection/aggregation is in place and comfortable adding new instrumentation in code as necessaryCreating and maintaining data pipeline(s) and data projections for other departments to have self-service to data sets (ETL Pipelines)This is a greenfield project working in conjunction with another team building a mobile application. The DevOps Engineer Must have: Amazon Web Services such as EC2, ECS, Route53, RDS, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, Athena, Glue, Redshift (or experience with Google/Azure platforms)Proficiency with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation (or Terraform, ansible, chef, etc)Proven experience with active monitoring and auto-scaling (DataDog, CloudWatch, etc)The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.
