My client is a very well known Systematic Maths based Hedge Fund.
Platform Engineering designs and maintains the firm's global network, operating systems, security policy and infrastructure, and core network services across datacenters, cloud services, and offices.
The Cloud Engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of these systems, with a primary focus on public cloud, including the integration of cloud with on-premises systems.
You'll work on systems to automate the management of the public cloud infrastructure, advise developers and peer teams on best practices, and interpret and enforce the firm's security policy.
The ideal Cloud Security Engineer will have: A degree form a top institution Extensive knowledge of modern cloud environments (Ideally AWS but others considered), including their security properties, constraints, and the tradeoffs between different deployment options, is required, as is a knowledge of operating systems, networking, and infrastructure as code (e. g., Proficiency in coding infrastructure products in Python, Go, or a similar language is required.
Previous experience with the design and maintenance of mid-size cloud deployments (hundreds to thousands of nodes) is essential.
In-depth knowledge of storage and networking configuration options available from different cloud providers is a prerequisite.
