Chief Technology Officer250k plus package Quant Capital has been retained to find a Head of Technology to be CTO for our high profile client.

Our client is a well-known leading provider of integrated risk, analytics and trading solutions for the global financial markets.

Their clients include some of the largest global financial institutions and banks, leading hedge funds, pension funds, insurers, brokers, clearing members and corporates.

You will be part a team building cutting-edge applications and services supporting cross-asset trading and risk management.

The successful candidate will have a passion for software development and the desire to constantly improve both their skills and the solutions they work on.

This a new role managing a global team of 20 Developers and 20 associated technologists.

The role will be leading the technology team in all aspects.

Current problems to be solved include improving Realtime performance and modernising databases.

You will have dotted line responsibility for several Quant Analysts.

Head of Technology candidates must have: BSc ideally MSc in Comp Sci, Maths or other technical discipline Mentoring or Management experience Strong technical background is software development Software analysis, design and development skills Good understanding of real-time distributed systems Experience developing financial software, ideally within risk Experience in financial services Strong previous coding ability as well as recent hands-on experience of C++ or C#Experience with scaling systems and database technology This role suits an experienced manager and senior technologist with a background in software development for financial markets.

Although a managment position there would be an expectation for you to have recent hand-on experience and an excellent understanding of building software.

The business is growing so it is expected this team will grow by 10 in the next year.

The financial models used by the business are complex so an understanding of financial products is expected.
