The Linux Tech Ops Engineer will be responsible for: Design and Develop tools to support and monitor production systems, this includes tools to manage a large suit of automated processes.
Running a hosted ASP, a 24/7, mission-critical financial trading and risk management system.
Monitoring/troubleshooting large suite of automated processing for market and position data.
Monitoring overall system performance and reliability, including application/computation, database and communication layers.
Participate in design and development of software and processes to enhance the breadth, quality, performance and reliability of services offered to clients.
Collaborate with DBA, Unix Systems Administrators and development teams to further the goals of high quality and reliability of the ASP system.
Operations Engineers MUST have: At least 4 years’ professional Linux systems experience Expert on a Linux Command Line A bright mind (usually BSc but doesn’t have to be)Python or Bash Docker SQL/NOSQL/Mongo DBExperience working with mission-critical production systems GIT/Bitbucket experience Financial Experience would be a plus.
