A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a candidate looking to further their career in the financial services sector. The Company requires a full-time permanent IT Systems Linux Administrator, to join the technology team providing services to our trading and support staff.

Predominantly the key responsibility of the role is to work alongside a senior Linux administrator to provide support for our production environment, whilst also participating in projects and other scheduled tasks. A conscious commitment to continuous personal development in relevant technical knowledge, technologies, and skill development is key, as is a desire to progress within the Information Technology arena preferably within the Financial Services Sector.

Key Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Support to developers
  • Support, maintenance and patching of our Linux estate

Linux Sys Admins Must Have:

  • Strong Linux systems administration experience (preferably SUSE or Red Hat Linux but similar experience with Ubuntu, Debian or alternate distributions welcome)

  • Comfortable with command line administration via SSH, scripting languages (bash/python), command pipelines, standard Linux/UNIX tools.

The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code.
