Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Devops / Linux / Functional programmerto join our high profile client.

Our client is a well known global Prop Trading firm. (no experience of finance is needed).

They like technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).

They currently run around 3 billion in liquid capital.

This is an environment of google or a startup where tech is number 1 (17 million budget last year…).

The firm is known globally for its attitudes and rigour more importantly, you will be surrounded by smart people deeply interested in teaching what they know, and in learning from you.

I am looking for a developer or ops guy who has potentially bootstrapped at a startup or who seriously plays at home.

You should be seriously contributing to the opensource world.

On a day to day basis you will hack, join, evangelise and generally create interesting platforms and routes to market.

You should be able to code but also rack a server and potentially play around all through the application layer.

Candidates MUST have: At least 4 years’ professional opensource systems experience A bright mind (usually Ph D but some have no degree at all)Python, Bash Ideally Linux SEPuppet would be a benefit Want to or have tried some functional programming Scala to Lisp BSDGit or Darcs Ideally Build/deployment technologies, such as Maven, CMake and Rake You will probably know you are right for this job if you aren’t sure it’s probably not for you.

An appetite for delivering solutions to complex problem This role suits a candidate in the not in the banking sector looking for a move.

You must be hands on and have excellent experience of working in a demanding or jack of all trades environment.

You will also be a techie motivated by technology.

In return you will be rewarded seriously financially we have no limit on basic salary.
