Linux Engineer HFTQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Linux Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well known high frequency trading business based in the city.

They are known in the ultra-low latency and Fixed Income Yield Curve space.

Their UK team is expanding its infrastructure significantly over the next 6-12 months, as well as looking to move into new office space.

The successful Tech Ops Engineer will be expected to play an important role supporting this growth, and will bring a passion for all things systems-related, from hardware and networking through to software build, deployment, automation and tooling.

The position is part of a globally distributed team responsible for supporting our low-latency electronic trading systems, and will include interactions with all functional areas within the firm.

The team in the UK stands at 10 so we are looking for people with the curiosity to explore themselves as well as a serious interest in tech.

The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.

The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code.

This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.

Linux Engineers MUST have: BA degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or similar technical field while displaying a strong academic performance Strong understanding of Linux Python Operations experience Ability to triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues, ranging from low-level hardware to in-house software applications Able to manage existing hardware/software footprint and assist with specification and procurement of new systems Development of tooling and automation Good understanding of core networking concepts, including LAN/WAN protocols and data-centre architecture Required morning start time: 6:30 a. m.
