Quant Capital is working with a regulated financial services firm looking to hire an Infrastructure Lead/Manager to lead a small team and take ownership of a broad Microsoft and Azure estate. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will manage three engineers while staying close to the technology across infrastructure, cloud, networking and security.
The role:
- Lead infrastructure operations across cloud, on-premise and end-user platforms
- Manage and develop a small infrastructure team
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 and Intune
- Own availability, patching, performance and disaster recovery readiness
- Manage networking, firewalls, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, DNS and related connectivity
- Oversee virtualisation, storage, backup and monitoring platforms
- Improve security across endpoints, email, access controls, SIEM, MFA and vulnerability management
- Work with external security partners, pen testers and technology vendors
- Improve documentation, standards and operational processes
What we are looking for:
- 8+ years’ experience across infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering
- Previous team leadership or management experience
- Azure experience across VNETs, VPNs, NSGs, DNS, RBAC and resource groups
- Networking knowledge across TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi and DNS
- Experience with Cisco, Fortinet or similar network/security hardware
- Strong security focus across patching, hardening, vulnerability management and incident response
- Understanding of GDPR, PCI or ISO27001 environments
- Clear communicator with strong ownership and good judgement
