Quant Capital are partnering with a fast-growing FinTech scale-up hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to own their core platform across cloud, networking and security. This role suits someone who understands high availability, engineers with discipline, and cares about building secure, reliable systems at scale.
Youβll take technical ownership from day one. Youβll design, operate and improve hybrid Microsoft/Azure infrastructure while acting as a senior escalation point for the business.
The Role- Engineer, maintain and evolve hybrid Microsoft infrastructure
- Deliver uptime-focused projects across networking, cloud and security
- Drive hardening, compliance and platform security standards
- Improve performance across identity, access and connectivity
- Design and manage Azure services: VNETs, RBAC, DNS, VPN, firewalls
- Own platform documentation and operational best practice
- Troubleshoot complex incidents and enable engineering teams
- 5+ years in infrastructure engineering or systems engineering
- Strong Microsoft environment expertise: Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, Group Policy, O365, Intune
- Solid networking foundations: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi
- Security engineering knowledge: System hardening, endpoint security, SIEM, incident handling
- ISO27001, GDPR or PCI compliance exposure
- Certificates (SSL/TLS), WAF/DDoS, email security
- Azure engineering background: Governance, networking, identity and security configuration
- Ownership mindset and strong troubleshooting ability
- Fortinet or Cisco firewall experience
- Automation (PowerShell)
- Exposure to data centre deployments
- Strong documentation and communication habits
