Quant Capital is working with a leading trading technology firm looking to hire an Identity Security Engineer to strengthen access controls across a hybrid Windows and cloud environment. This role sits at the intersection of identity, platform security, and cloud engineering, with real influence over how security decisions are made and executed. You’ll take ownership of identity security across Microsoft platforms, working hands‑on while partnering with engineering teams to deliver meaningful improvements to the firm’s security posture. This is not a purely executional role; judgement, prioritisation, and technical leadership are central to success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning identity and access security across hybrid Windows and cloud platforms
- Providing technical leadership on Entra ID, M365, Azure security and IAM best practices
- Designing and validating security controls across on‑prem and cloud environments
- Identifying attack paths and closing gaps across identity, access and privilege boundaries
- Supporting secure cloud adoption through collaboration with platform and engineering teams
- Driving remediation strategy and prioritisation across the Windows estate
- Implementing automation for identity security, certificates and access controls
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience securing Microsoft identity platforms (Entra ID, Azure AD, M365)
- Deep understanding of IAM, PAM and Microsoft security controls
- Hands‑on experience designing and operating identity security in production environments
- Strong knowledge of authentication and SSO technologies (OIDC, SAML, OAuth)
- Experience defining certificate policies, templates and cryptographic standards
- Exposure to Azure security and governance using code‑driven approaches
- Comfort automating security processes, including certificate lifecycle management
- Able to make sound technical decisions in fast‑moving environments
- Clear communicator, collaborative, and comfortable influencing across teams
This role suits someone who wants ownership, impact, and the opportunity to shape identity security at scale in a highly technical environment.
