ETF Trader – Fixed Income ETF Market Making London 150,000–200,000 + Bonus Quant Capital is working with a specialist ETF market-making firm looking to hire a Fixed Income ETF Trader into its London team.
This is a role for someone who wants to be close to trading, technology and risk.
The firm is not a traditional bank desk or asset manager.
It is a focused, tech-driven trading environment where pricing, automation, execution quality and disciplined risk management sit at the centre of the business.
The focus is fixed-income ETF market making across European venues.
You’ll be involved in live on-screen quoting, systematic pricing, inventory management, hedging and improving the tools used to trade the product set.
This is not a cash bond trading role.
The firm is looking for someone who understands ETFs as listed products and knows how to make money through pricing, spread management, skew, automation and liquid hedging.
- What you’ll be doing
- Making markets in fixed-income ETFs across European venues
- Managing live quoting across price, size, spread and skew
- Running intraday risk, inventory and hedging
- Pricing ETF risk using futures, credit indices, rates products and other liquid hedges
- Working with developers and quants to improve pricing models, quoting logic and trading tools
- Identifying opportunities across less efficient areas of the fixed-income ETF market
- Analysing liquidity, volatility, hedge cost, basis risk and adverse selection
- Helping grow a specialist ETF market-making business What they’re looking for
- 2+ years of direct ETF market-making experience
- Exposure to fixed-income ETFs, ideally credit ETFs
- Experience quoting on-screen markets
- Strong understanding of ETF pricing, fair value, spread, skew and hedging
- Background from a specialist market maker, prop firm, liquidity provider or ETF trading desk
- Good knowledge of fixed-income ETF risk: duration, credit spread, liquidity and basis risk
- Comfortable working in a systematic or semi-automated trading environment
- Strong commercial judgement and risk discipline Relevant product experience
