Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a $500 million strong systematic quant commodity trading fund with excellent recent performance.

The role will involve all aspects of support from desktop to cloud in a trading environment, reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Development. The role needs strong communication skills as this will involve work with the trading business.

The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Manage Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) for user and device management.
  • Provide comprehensive IT support to all staff (circa 20 users).
  • Proactively identify and implement automation opportunities using PowerShell or other tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows desktops, servers, and virtualised environments.
  • Liaise with external IT service partners and vendors.

Ensure best practices are enforced across the estate, reengineering where necessary.

Infrastructure Engineers MUST have:

  • Core Infrastructure Focus: 7+ years\’ experience in IT support or infrastructure, ideally in professional services or finance.
  • M365 Administration: In-depth hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 services.
  • Directory Services: Deep understanding and experience with Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • PowerShell Automation: Strong scripting skills for system administration and M365.
  • Endpoint Management: Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot Windows desktops and endpoints.
  • Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proactive Approach: Strong analytical skills with a drive to automate.
  • Incident Management: Experience with incident handling.
