Data Centre Engineer – Quant Trading Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Data Centre Engineer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a well known global quantitative trading firm.
The company is at the intersection of trading and finance and has attracted some of the best technologists in recent years.
This is an environment of google or a successful startup where tech is number one.
The firm is known globally for its attitudes, famous culture and rigour.
More importantly, you will be surrounded by smart people deeply interested in teaching what they know, and in learning from you.
I am looking for a Data Centre Engineer who has industry experience working on mission critical networks and systems.
This is a hand-on role that will involve travel to data centres to install, configure and monitor new and existing equipment.
The role involves close collaboration with the systems and network engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.
Data Centre Engineers MUST have: Strong communication skills Networks knowledge Linux and Windows systems knowledge Experience with cabling best practices and 5+ years data centre experience Ability to troubleshoot dark fibre connectivity Coding skills or ability to upgrade code on Network Devices.
