A Career in Long/Short Equities at Point72 Long/Short Equity is Point72's core investment strategy, and its success depends upon our sector-based investing teams comprised of portfolio managers and research analysts. As an ever-increasing amount of data is applied to the fundamental equity strategies, we are seeking a dedicated data engineer intern to help design and build solutions that enable investment professionals to extract insights from large, complex, Compliance-approved data sets.
What You'll Do
- Working alongside a portfolio manager and team of analysts to explore and implement AI and machine learning applications within the team's investment strategy
- Developing quantitative insights to aid the investment team in generating investment ideas
- Creating tools and infrastructure to support and enhance the team's quantitative efforts
- Integrating and processing Compliance-approved data
What's Required
- Pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, math, engineering), with an expected graduation date of Autumn/Fall 2025 or later
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (with an emphasis on Pandas, PySpark, etc.)
- Interest in Generative AI technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
