We are recruiting for a Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance team. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this role requires a multi‑skilled engineer with an electrical and mechanical background, preferably having worked in the manufacturing industry. The main responsibility is planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance of equipment, responding to breakdowns in a timely manner, and seeking to reduce onsite downtime and improve company processes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance of equipment, plant and water treatment tasks
- Ensuring that company and legislated health and safety procedures are adhered to
- Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner
- Diagnosing faults and obtaining components, fixtures or fittings
- Maintaining equipment records and other records as required
- Creating maintenance procedures
- Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
- Carrying out quality inspections
- Checking fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits
