We are looking for an experienced Credit Review Officer to join our Banking Client on an initial 5 month contract based in the City of London.

£170 – 580 per day Inside IR35 via an umbrella company

3 days onsite in City of London/ 2 days remote

5 months, extendable

Key Duties:

  • Determine obligor ratings based on the banks internal framework, submitting assessments for review and approval.

  • Create financial forecasts and conduct stress testing to assess the potential impact of adverse scenarios on client creditworthiness.

  • Analyze financial statementsincluding balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reportsto evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of corporate clients.

  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, factoring in industry trends, market dynamics, and company-specific risks.

  • Update obligor ratings regularly in line with changes in client performance or market conditions.

  • Draft comprehensive credit proposals, including recommendations on credit limits, terms, and conditions.

  • Ensure all credit-related documentation is maintained accurately and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

  • Keep detailed records to support audits and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of rating changes.

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of credit analysis and approval processes.

  • Bachelor\’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline preferred; professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous.

  • Prior experience as a credit or financial analyst, ideally within corporate banking or financial services.

  • Solid understanding of financial products including syndicated and bilateral loans, guarantees, derivatives, trade finance, and leasing.

  • Knowledge of legal documentation such as loan agreements, bond covenants, ISDAs, and credit support instruments.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality credit documentation with accuracy and clarity.
