The Finance Analyst will support the effective delivery of the finance function across QTS, contributing to a range of transactional and operational finance activities. The post holder will work closely with the Head of Finance and wider finance team, providing flexible and responsive finance support across QTS.
The post holder will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, managing their own workload, prioritising competing demands and proactively resolving issues within their area of responsibility, escalating where appropriate. While the role supports all aspects of the finance function, the primary focus of responsibilities will be determined by business need and team structure (currently income, invoicing and debtor management). The allocation of duties may change over time to reflect service priorities, workload, development opportunities or team capacity.

Main Duties:
- Provide proactive finance support to the wider QTS team, responding to queries and resolving issues.
- Work closely with the Head of Finance and finance colleagues across QTS and CNWL.
- Support and contribute to month-end processes, including reconciliations and journals.
- Maintain accurate financial records, logs and supporting documentation.
- Support audits, reporting requirements and compliance activities.
- Use the SBS system effectively, including issue resolution and escalation where required.
- Maintain ledger structures and request activation of ledger codes when required.
- Raise rent, service charge and other Estates and Facilities invoices to tenants and customers.
- Raise QTS invoice requests to CNWL where applicable.
- Maintain, review and reconcile the invoicing log.
- Set up new customers and maintain customer records on SBS.
- Maintain and review the debtors ledger, including monitoring outstanding debts, resolving discrepancies and supporting credit control activity to ensure timely income recovery.
- Investigate and resolve income and invoicing queries from tenants, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Reconcile income and debtor balances and investigate and explain variances.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues covering other finance activities, including accounts payable and supplier reconciliations.
- Provide cover for other finance processes during periods of absence, peak workload or vacancy.
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and ways of working.
- Undertake additional duties consistent with the role and Band 6 expectations as required.
- Apply relevant financial policies, procedures, best practice guidance and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations including COSHH, Handling & Moving and Infection Control, in accordance with HSAW, HTM/HBN, QTS and Trust policies.
- Attend mandatory and role-appropriate training to maintain and develop required skills.
- Produce regular updates and reports on workload, risks and issues to the Head of Finance.
- Support audits, data validation exercises and other compliance checks as required.
