GMP Production Manufacturing Technician Opportunity – Swindon
An exciting opportunity has been created due to company growth. My client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a Production Manufacturing Technician based in Swindon where you will be working in a GMP clean room manufacturing environment making drug products / compounding as allocated on the production planning system to cGMP, current pharmaceutical regulations, whilst adhering to EH&S requirements.
Hours of Work
Weekly rotation shift:
• 7:00 am to 7:00 pm / 7:00 pm to 7:00 am / 2 days / 2 nights / 4 days off.
Day to day duties include
- Accurately completes documentation related to the Encapsulation process.
- Operates and maintains up to two Encapsulation Machines (and covers up to as many as four during breaks).
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Performs in‑process checks and evaluates, in detail, product quality.
- Monitors material and gel usage at the machine and changes receivers as needed ensuring that components are not used past expiration date and time.
- Ensures empty receivers are transported back to respective departments as soon as possible.
- Monitors encapsulation process to minimize rejected product at the machine.
- Tears down machine at changeover if required.
- Sets‑up / assembles Encapsulation Machine for operation per batch record instructions.
- Troubleshoots equipment to maintain a quality product.
- Monitors and replenishes solvents and lubricants as required.
- Assembles, handles, and stages tray stacks with manufactured softgels.
- Ensures that needed supplies (tray paper, gloves etc.) for the department are maintained at sufficient levels.
- Handles non‑hazardous, hazardous and DEA materials and waste.
- Performs work according to safety policies and practices related to the position.
- Packaging and labelling.
Contract Details
This is a 3‑month contract based in Swindon which will be reviewed for a possible extension or for a permanent role, depending on candidate and business performance.
Pay
PAYE rate £13.90 per hour.
Skills
- Ideally Pharmaceutical / medical device GMP production / manufacturing / operator experience.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE preferred), MS Office, and inventory control processes.
