Opportunity: Do you have hands on experience in printed circuit board design, including schematic capture, component selection, layout, and design verification? Does your experience include the design and validation of embedded systems based on ARM architectures and running real-time operating systems? Have you developed motor control modules that drive precision mechanical systems, from design through to integration and verification? If yes then this is the role for you.

Your role as a Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer will involve:

  • Supporting the design and validation of embedded systems based on ARM architectures and running real-time operating systems.
  • Contributing to the development of motor control modules that drive precision mechanical systems, from design through to integration and verification.
  • Designing and reviewing power supply circuits (DC/DC and AC/DC) for low and medium-power applications, working within established topologies and design standards.
  • Supporting product safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) activities, including testing, debugging and updating designs to help meet emission standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Using CAD tools to capture schematics, layout printed circuit boards, and maintain complete, controlled design documentation necessary for manufacturing, verification and regulatory review.
  • Maintaining existing electrical designs, debugging and problem solving.

This is a full time permanent job opportunity based in Walsall paying an excellent salary of £38,000 - £42,000 per annum and great benefits such as 23 days holidays plus bank holidays on top, generous annual bonus scheme, cycle to work scheme, 2 x Life Assurance and much more.
