Job Description
Looking for hands-on warehouse work with regular shifts and weekly routine? We’re recruiting reliable Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution operation handling pre-packed food products. If you enjoy physical work and want an ongoing opportunity in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you.
You’ll support the daily warehouse and dispatch operation, with your main responsibilities focused on loading and unloading containers and moving pre-packed food products safely around the warehouse.
You’ll help prepare goods for dispatch, check and organise outgoing products, and support the wider team to keep operations running smoothly. Maintaining a clean and organised working area is also important, alongside following all relevant health and safety and food-handling procedures.
This is a hands-on role involving physical activity throughout the shift, so you’ll need to work efficiently, pay attention to detail and be comfortable with loading and unloading duties.
Duration: This is an ongoing temporary position offering regular work, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity for reliable and hardworking candidates.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: The position pays £12.71 per hour, with the opportunity to accrue up to 28 days’ annual leave pro rata.
Working Hours: The role starts at 10:30, with finishing times dependent on the daily workload. Hours may vary according to operational requirements, so flexibility is important.
Closing Date: 20261110
Experience & Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous, although a positive attitude and willingness to work hard are equally important.
You’ll need to be comfortable with physical work, including loading and unloading containers, and able to follow instructions while maintaining good attention to detail. A strong work ethic, good teamwork and an understanding of health and safety procedures are essential.
