We are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted-registered EBD children’s home supporting a young person with emotional and behavioural difficulties and mental health needs within a solo placement setting. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Registered Manager looking for a well-supported service, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into management with excellent senior-level guidance and development.
The home benefits from a settled and experienced staff team, including seniors and a deputy manager already in place, alongside strong support from senior leadership. The Managing Director has previously worked as a Registered Manager, and the responsible individual is also a practising therapist, creating a highly supportive environment focused on both operational and therapeutic outcomes.
The Role
- Leading and developing the home in line with Ofsted standards
- Ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for the young person
- Managing and supporting the staff team
- Maintaining compliance with Children’s Home Regulations and quality standards
- Working closely with senior management and external professionals
- Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 requirements
Requirements
- Experience within residential childcare / EBD services
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager
- Good understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Experience with Reg 44 processes and compliance
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification desirable (the company is happy to support completion of this qualification)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Clear DBS (Update Service desirable)
