TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR £32,000 + £3,000 bonus + Company Van | Nottingham | 40 Hours We’re recruiting an experienced Transport Supervisor for a well-established environmental and recycling business operating across multiple locations throughout Nottinghamshire. This is a hands-on Transport Supervisor position with real responsibility for drivers, fleet compliance and day-to-day transport performance. You’ll be working across 11 locations, so this role will suit someone who enjoys being out on site and is confident managing people face-to-face. The company is also prepared to put the right candidate through their Transport Manager CPC, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career. THE TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR ROLE • Lead and support a team of Category C and C+E drivers across multiple Nottinghamshire sites. • Manage driver rotas and ensure sufficient cover to meet operational requirements. • Monitor Driver Hours, WTD and tachograph compliance. • Carry out driver debriefs, worksafe observations and investigations. • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings. • Coordinate vehicle servicing, MOTs, PMI and LOLER inspections. • Carry out regular site visits and vehicle/gate checks. • Maintain accurate driver and vehicle compliance records. • Identify opportunities to improve transport performance, safety and efficiency. • Work closely with the Transport Manager and wider operational teams. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a strong people manager who can lead from the front and build positive relationships with drivers. You should have: • Previous experience supervising or managing drivers within a transport environment. • Strong knowledge of transport compliance, Driver Hours and WTD. • Experience managing HGV drivers and fleet operations. • A full, clean driving licence. • Excellent communication and organisational skills. • The confidence to travel between multiple Nottinghamshire sites. • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving. • A Class 1 / C+E licence is desirable but not essential.
