Ideal role for a Support Worker looking for additional night shifts. As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring that residents receive exceptional care and support. You will help individuals with their nightly routines, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are at the centre of your priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Keep a close eye on residents’ health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued, respected and cared for.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

Requirements

  • You must have proven experience within a similar care environment.
  • Have a checkable work history.
  • Have up to date mandatory training documents, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. Should you not have up to date certificates we can offer online training, with an added fee.
  • Have an in date enhanced DBS check; if your DBS has expired, we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.

Opportunity and Hours

This is an ongoing opportunity. Your typical hours will start at 22:00 and finish at 07:00 the next morning, Monday to Friday.

Compensation

You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.75 per hour, with added 28 days accrued holiday pay.
