Ideal position for a Support Worker looking for additional work hours. As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring that residents receive exceptional care and support. You will help individuals with their nightly routines, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are at the centre of your priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Keep a close eye on residents’ health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued, respected and cared for.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

Qualifications

  • You must have proven experience within a similar care environment.
  • Have a checkable work history.
  • Have up‑to‑date mandatory training documents, such as Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. If you do not have up‑to‑date certificates, we can offer online training, with an added fee.
  • Have an up‑to‑date enhanced DBS check. If your DBS has expired, we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.

Hours and Pay

Your typical hours will start at 07:00 and finish at 19:00, Monday to Friday. You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.75 per hour, with an added 28 days accrued holiday pay.
